Two very different bands...
Two genres of music...
But only one Spotlight!
New Beat Records is the host to many different bands from a variety of backgrounds but they have two in the main focal light. Bands of different genres, different past and different nationalities but no matter how different they are they will always have one thing in common. Both bands are aiming fr the same thing, the same reputation but they go about it in very different ways. With their support in stylists, media influences and those dedicated roadies the two big bands come off very differently.
Something New is the first and longest running of the bands, they have been in the music business for years now and all come from London. They offer the young teen fans something that they crave. Good pop music. There aren't many bands that can deliver this without turning into a rock band wannabe. To survive Something New has got that essential pop song but there are elements of guitar, rock drum beats, something to jazz up their latest records and feed the fans something different. A happy outlook on life this band is very popular, they're like the modern day Busted or McFly even but better with a wider fan base and more of a variety in their sound. Something new stands for everything pop is, good emotional lyrics added to insanely sweet melodies and the classic sexy pop band style. You even get a taste of R&B in some of their latest tunes. A band not to be messed with.
Freeway Antidote, the new kids on the block and equally as good as their older, longer running rivals. The only band in the industry to provide a threat to Something New's reputation. Even though the two bands have very different styles and very different fan bases they are still fighting for the spot as New Beat Record's number one band. Freeway offer their fans a very insane mixture of music, something only attempted by few bands. One day they will give the slowest and softest piano melody and the next a hard rocking heavy metal backing. With rebellious attitudes and equally similar ways this band stand out against the crowd. Vandalism, protests, marches all of these rebellious acts are for a reason, the band are made out of very strong animal rights activists, against slaughter houses and anything to do with cruelty to animals. A bad reputation in the press but it's what makes their fans love them more. The under aged drinking is just for fun though.
The two bands have struck a major clash and fight for the headlines, daily gossip and everything similar. In the media's eye they may seem friendly but between the two there is major tension.
